Storytelling Performances

Jonah performs stories for all ages – pre-schoolers to adults. His repertoire includes world folktales, trickster tales, personal stories, sacred stories, and much more. Jonah tailors each performance to the specific audience and also offers specific programs (such as “Jack Tales: Beyond the Beanstalk,” “How the Trickster Came to Georgia,” “A World of Stories: Multi-cultural Storytelling,” “The Wrong Shoes: Bullying Prevention Through Stories,” “Appalachian Trail Storytelling,” etc.) Book a Storytelling Performance now.

Appalachian Trail Storytelling

After hiking all 2,000+ miles of the Appalachian Trail in 2002, Jonah began leading outdoors adventures and telling stories of his Appalachian Trail hike. Today, he is still telling stories from his hike. During his Appalachian Trail Storytelling performances, the audience gets to play “Stump the Thru-hiker” with Jonah. Audience members get to choose any place on the map of the Appalachian Trail to see if they can find a place Jonah doesn’t have a story about. No one’s stumped him yet! Battle of Atlanta Civil War Tour

Jonah believes history is most meaningful when told as a story. Story helps us connect the effects of past events to our daily lives. For Atlantans, the 1864 Battle of Atlanta is even more closely tied to our lives because the battle was fought in the middle of what are now residential streets and neighborhoods. This history tour through East Atlanta, Grant Park, Reynoldstown, Edgewood, Inman Park, Cabbage Town, and Ormewood Park covers all aspects of the battle: from Hardee’s night march to the fighting on Leggett’s Hill to the storming of the railroad cut to Logan’s charge (made famous in the Atlanta Cyclorama painting). The tour has been designed for bicycle or motor vehicle and takes between 2 – 3 hours. Book a Battle of Atlanta Tour now.
